Birthday and a Blog Hop!

For over a year now I've been purchasing kits from Simply Obsessed and have loved all of them!

So, of course, I have to wish Simply Obsessed a

Happy 3rd Birthday!

the girls are sweet and the gallery is awesome!  Such talent there!!!  The GAMES are also so fun, I don't know how they come up with all that great madness!!!

Okay, so I've been creating some birthday cards and will finally be able to share them with you!

This card is a masculine card, originally created for my cousin who turned 10...but I made it so stinkin' early that I forgot I already had one and ended up giving him some card I had laying around!  Sigh....

So I gotta hang on to this guy till I find a 10 year-old-to-be!  Ha ha!

These two card designs were borrowed from a card I created at a Stampin' Up! Convention way back when I was a Demonstrator!  It's so easy to make!  What's so cute about it is the pocket inside where you can tuck a gift card.  I used my Big Shot and my flower die cuts!

And to make a masculine birthday card, I just used a stamp set with coordinating punch!

I'm planning on making a BUNCH more to give out as card kits this Christmas to friends and family!

If you start early....like NOW, you'll have plenty of time to finish!

Just make a list of all the families you'll need to give gifts to so you know just how hard you'll have to work to make them all!!!!  One set can be for a whole family!

I hope to have inspired some die-cutting and card making!  Maye a project like this will work for one of the crop creations this weekend!!!

Girlie Girlz

I created this layout using my Pink Ninja Addicts Kit called "Mommy's Little Monster"!

I LOVE the trims in this kit.  It worked so well for the challenge at the Simply Obsessed crop where you were to use your trims to build a layout.  FUN CHALLENGE!

Bel is 7 now!  Not a baby anymore...boo hoo.

In the journaling,  I talked about how we are similar.  Generally, we are two VERY DIFFERENT personalities...but I also see alot of myself in her.

I think the only things I added were that Prima flower with the skulls, the Sassafras brad and the Monstrosity alphas by Sassafras.  DID I SAY THAT I LOOOOVE THIS KIT?????

And I have to say that I've been a good Mommy and Homeowner the last couple of days.  I've weeded the front yard...Luke mowed the lawn and I did some much needed trimming as well!  I forgot how nice it feels to be outside working in the yard.

You see, the kids have been at their grandparents and so I don't have to worry about Gabe if I were to go outside.  He runs all around the place and I'm just worried he'll run into the street one day so I just don't work in the yard!  It's so hard having a young kid.  The house is a mess and so is the outside.  But he's getting older and more compliant!!!!  Hopefully it gets easier to do other things outside!

The laundry is just about done, the floors vacuumed...even Isabel's room is nice and clean!  I CANNOT believe how much food I find in the toyboxes!!!!!  Here's what I found...orange peels, half eaten candy snuck out of the pantry, gum, spoons, bowls, dried old apples, cups....oh!...and HALF A WAFFLE!  Ugh!

So, what are you plans for the weekend?  I hope to get some scrapping done and maybe finish weeding in the back yard!

Easter Baskets! I apologize in advance if I'm to squealy sounding!!! The baskets were from my Mom and I saw them for the first time!!! So...I was excited too!

A Walk In the Park

In the photo are my cutie nieces...sisters.  And to go with the photo, I found a poem

I have a crush on Lee Dewyze of AI.  Something bout those eyes and that guitar and dark hair....oh, and that sexy voice.


And so happy that Andrew had a good night on AI the other night!


But Crystal still rules AI.

I can't wait to see Clash of the Titans this weekend!

I ate chocolate cake for breakfast...oh, and coffee.

My HOA sent me a letter about needing to weed but I'm scrapping today instead.  I think it's because someone's telling me what to do and I refuse to listen...until I'm ready (I dunno why I'm like this...I've always been this way.).  BAD HOMEOWNER!

I had sushi today.....YUM!

Smile Silly Monster

He he...look at that silly smile!  I got to play with some Sassafras papers!  I love that Monstrosity line, don't you?

Here is another page that is going to go in my Aunt's scrapbook for Mother's Day.

I wonder if she reads this blog?  I don't think so...ha ha!

This layout is of her youngest child...and MY youngest cousin!

Once again, on the journaling, I added some of his most adorable qualities!

This layout was created during the Mini Crop that went on over at Simply Obsessed where I scrapped 7 LAYOUTS!  One of the elements was swirls and bling and so I combined it by blinging up my swirls!  I just stamped my image with black ink, then traced it with a white opaque pen and added in the liquid pearls (platinum) for some interest...then layered some glittery stickles on top of the white lines!

It's not too hard to get the hang of varying the dot sizes once you practice on a bunch of layouts.  Plus, as long as your dot hasn't dried yet, it's easy to add to it if you need to increase the size of your dot and flick the underside of your paper to settle it into the rest of the liquid pearls.

He he...isn't he cute?  You know when you have that fake "camera smile"?  Well, this is Tristans!  I love how he almost looks kind of scared...he's such a cutie!

Live the Life You Love

Remember that mask I used for yesterday's layout????  Well, here it is in another layout.  The reverse is actually the "right" side but it's hot pink and I wanted this green color.

Here's another layout I created for the Simply Obsessed Mini Crop (using at least 3 different flowers) and the

True xoxOGirls challenge blog.  I chose to lift the "Simply Me" layout by Joana Panesa.

This one's for my Mom's scrapbook for Mother's Day.  I'm knocking down quite a few layouts for the

12 x 12 scrapbooks I'm making for some of the best Mommies in my life.

Once again, this layout is FULL OF SCRAPS!  He he....I'm trying REAL HARD to clear out my stash!

My mother has always told me to enjoy life: take vacations, spend some money....live life.

We're planning a vacation to Hawaii...at first I was resistant because Gabe is only 3...and I'm DREADING the plane ride!  So, I hope to get him nice and sleep-deprived so he can spend the plane ride knocked out!  We'll see.

Anybody got any tips?  I would love to hear them!

Oh!  And All About Me is going to have a BLOG HOP...and I will be giving some stuff away!!!  Wooohooo!  It's around the first week of April, so STAY TUNED!  I'll give you more deets later!

I'll be at work today....YUCKY MONDAY.  Join me in wishing for a decent day WITHOUT any stressful super sick people walking in...to A WALK IN CLINIC (ie: "heart attacks, strokes, I feel like I'm going to die type people")....I would just love to see Walk-In type people...because I work in a Walk-In Clinic....NOT AN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT....colds, flu, broken fingers/feet or arm, rash...I'll even take dehydrated folks that can't keep anything down.  Vent...vent...I can vent all day...but now I'll shut up because I'm almost POSITIVE I'll be cursing under my breath while I'm at work....sigh.  Wish me luck...I'll need it!

The Best Place on Earth is With the Ones You Love!

Here's a layout I created during a crop at Simply Obsessed.  I also used the December Kit which is sooooo cute!  I made a total of 7 layouts AND I got a prize!  I love crops!  This layout was actually a lift challenge.  The girls did an awesome job of coming up with challenges for that SWAK crop! 

And my favorite part of this layout is stamping those swirls on both sides and then going back and adding some Liquid Pearls in Platinum (Ranger) for some cheap bling!

I used some photos from New Years Eve...a fun evening with the family and kids!

So, I loooooove fruity drinks!  And I looooooove sweet white wine....like dessert wine....and so I also like sweet champagne.  Anyway, if you like sweet drinks, try mixing champagne and Passion Fruit juice (by Welch's)...yummmmm!  Cheap champagne is just fine!  I like Cook's Spumante (but this might be too sweet for some of you mixed with that passion fruit juice)!  For a yummy non-alcoholic drink, mix the juice with seltzer water or any carbonated water....yummy!  

I dunno why I got off on that tangent but drink recipes are pretty much the only recipe's you'll probably ever get from me!!!!!!  

Okay, cute picture here!  My cousin "D" left his glasses at my house.  And, of course Luke (Hubby) HAD to put them on Gabe...and them MOMMY had to take a picture!  Gabe was NOT very amused!  Can you see the rug burn on his chin?  Yep, I have no idea how it happened but one day I noticed it.  Being 3, he jumps....thus FALLS A LOT....and I'm sure this is a result of one of his stunts!  Sooo cute!

I remember when Isabel was learning to walk (about 9 months), she did a face plant on the carpet and had rug burn on her nose!  LOL!  Of course, I HAD to take pics...but I can't remember where they're saved to!  When I find them, I'll share!

This'll be a short one.  I'm feeling slightly under-the-weather....fighting a cold.  It's all in my chest and I can't stop coughing....ick.  I hope the babies don't get sick.

Oh, and I'm afraid I've hit that road block...ya know, when the MoJo runs out....oh man.  Help!  What do you do to get outta that funk?

What are your plans for the weekend?  I've got to renew my ACLS skillz....Advanced Cardiac Life Support....it's gonna be sooooooo loooooong!  Ugh!
