Creepy Cool

Hello Hello!  Guess what?  I finally have a non-digi page to show you!  He he!
I created this for one of the newest challenges up at Candy Shoppe Designs called
Just scrap about summer and you're good!

I scrapped this photo from our family trip to Hawaii last summer.  It was a weird, rainy, and windy day...but still much better than being in Washington so we had NO complaints!
We spent some time at Pali Lookout.

Pictures from the Pali Lookout - Oahu, Hawaii

I love learning about history so reading about the bloody battle that took place here was both intriguing and creepy at the same time.  Basically King Kamehameha I united the Hawaiian Islands.  He would go to the islands conquering them.  On Oahu, he waged a battle against the island's defenders, driving them to this area.  It was a cliffside and the strategy for Kamehameha's soldiers was to drive the native inhabitant fighters over the cliffs, killing them.  The view is spectacular.  There you will also find an artist's depiction of the battle and soldiers being driven, swords in hand, off the cliff.

You definitely have this sort of creepy feeling as you look out onto the island.  As a child I remember many ghost stories.  People definitely try not to stop here at night!

Well thanks for stopping by!  Just whip up a quick layout and link up to CSD!
Ya never know, you could be the next winner!

Pintrested, are you?

I am loving this inspiration photo!  It's part of Candy Shoppe Design's Pintrest Challenge.  That's not the only way you can participate, so head on over to the CSD Bloggy and learn more!  Enter and win a prize!

See what the Lollipop Girls created using this (or other Pintrest) photos!

I hope your week is going well!  I'm a busy bee as always!  Just got done organizing my stamps!  I've got an awesome system now and I bet I'll be stamping more now that I'm not overwhelmed by the unorganized cabinet full of stamps!  It feels so good!

Have you recently finished an organization project?  Tell me about it cuz I'm hoping to organize as much as I can like the kitchen cupboards, closets, shoes, etc...if you've got any links for me I would LOVE that as well!

8th Stop on the Candy Shoppe Designs BLOG HOP MEME

Hello to all!

Are you looking for some fun?  Well, Candy Shoppe Designs is here to deliver!  Right now we're having a BLOG HOP MEME.  Join us for some fun, blog visiting, and a chance to win a GORGEOUS prize from The Paper Trail!.  Start HERE to start the fun!

Here are MY answers to the Blog Hop Meme questions:

1. What is your favorite or most recent Etsy purchase and who are your favorite Etsy sellers?

Oh yes, I love me some Etsy!  Most of my purchases have been from my FAVE Etsy Store The Pink Ninja Addicts!  He he.....I think I have almost all the kits, right Ally? ;)

2. What would you like to tell a teacher who has changed your life?

Shame on me...I've forgotten this teachers name...but I think of her often.  She recognized my creative mind in a short story I wrote in 10th grade about a young surfer boy who lost his father.  She encouraged me to enter it into an Art competition.  I didn't win, but just knowing that she thought it was good enough to enter really boosted my confidence.  It has influenced my life in so many ways because I realized that I had a gift.  that gift lead to more creative endeavors....which led to scrapbooking...which led me here!

3. Did you marry your first true love?
I'd like to think so.  I did not marry my first love and have had a few loves since...but none of them truer than the love I married and had my beautiful babies with.

4. FOUR random examples as to what makes me, me.
I'm a girly girl meets rock star, if you are to describe my sense of fashion and creativity.  Romantic meets Edgy.

I like to be original, but shy away from attention.  I do what makes me feel good.

I am the kind of person that knows a little about a lot of things.  I like to try new things.

My brain goes a mile a minute.  Alot of times I forget to catch people up on what I'm thinking and start a conversation where my brain left off...leaving the person I'm talking to quite confused.  I may come off as a ding bat, but actually am so intelligent that I can't even keep up with myself!

5. A story about a favorite pet:
I lovingly named a stray dog our family adopted, Betsy, after a character from a book I was reading while in 1st grade.  Betsy was the best.  I miss her dearly.

6. What are your favorite WORDS or words that you find yourself using most frequently?
Lately it's been, "I'm not your maid!  Clean up after yourself!"

7.  Is there somebody out there in this world that you once knew or still know that you never got around to sharing your true feelings to? There may be more than just 1 person out there, maybe you're the silent and shy type, maybe you won't say it because you know that they already know what you feel. Who is this person and what would you say to them if they were standing in front of you at this very moment? (LOVING words ONLY!)

Any words I have left to say are best left unsaid...because they aren't very nice things ;)

8.  Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who? (This is my/Mo's question FYI ;)
Okay, so I never MET him, but I locked eyes with this celebrity. I didn't even know who the heck he was! I was sitting in the lobby of this restaurant in Seattle....all by my lonesome waiting for my guy buddies to finish smoking outside...and this GORGEOUS human being slowly starts sneaking into the doorway of the restaurant lobby...and peeks in. I lock eyes with him and think. "OMG, he is soooo gorgeous" and I blush. The restaurant is busy when you look through the doorway past the lobby. He turns and heads out. After a few seconds, I can't help but get up and go outside to see where he goes, deciding to see what the guys are up to, when the real excuse was to see where that exquisite masterpiece of a man walked off to. To my friends, I commented something to the effect "Where'd that hottie go. He's the most beautiful man I've ever layed eyes on." They start cracking up and totally make fun of me for not knowing who he was....it was Alex Rodriguez back when he played for the Mariners (I live in Washington).
9. Who is your celebrity crush and why?
I have a thing for #1 tall men, at least 6 feet tall (I'm 4'11") and #2 I also have a thing for bald men...and #3 If that tall bald man has a goatee, it's OVER......I am IN LOVE WITH.....

COMMON

10. What's your guilty pleasure?
Shoes!  Perfume!  I got too  many of both!

Two past layouts inspired by my obsessions....

So, tell me something about YOU!  For more info on how to participate, check out the beginning of the Blog Hop Meme at Candy Shoppe Designs HERE.
Next Lollipop girl on the blog hop is Myia Manghum a.k.a. Brown Sugar!

I'm excited to hear YOUR answers!

By playing along to our BLOG HOP MEME this month and answering all of our questions you will have a chance at winning this GORGEOUS kit from The Paper Trail!

If you decide not to participate, I'd still love to hear your answers to any question(s) above!

Top 5!

This was too fun!
I created this layout using the prompts at both
Candy Shoppe Designs
and All About Me!

The challenge for Candy Shoppe Designs is called....XYZ.

It's the last challenge of the year...like the last letters of the alphabet!
Use up your neglected last letters and create a unique title with them!

And as a reminder...here is the December prize for
Candy Shoppe Designs:

Fun Christmasey stuff!

 AND

All About Me asks you to scrap:
MY 5

5 Anythings.....

Link up, and you can win 4 images from our December Sponsor!

Like the teen feel to my layout?  My Sassy Studio Image was perfect for it!  I used watercolor pencils on the image after printing it out.  I really did feel like I was a teenager again...sigh...
to keep with the teen theme I doodled and used a whimsical font.

So....don't forget to play and give my girls some love if you get a moment!

Love,
Mo

Oh my I've been sooo busy!
Did any of you flake out on your first few days of your December Daily album????
I sure did!  It was December 6th before I was startled awake as I thought...
SH*T, I haven't been taking pics for my DD album!  AAAAAAAHHHHH!

I took a TON of photos on Bel's birthday but that was pretty much it!
Luckily, my brother-in-law sent me a pic taken when he took Gabe to the Pacific Science Center in Seattle!
I've just been at work for the last few days....who wants to take a picture of all the "fun" there????  NOT!   Sooooo  not fun!  In fact, I've had some really crappy days at work.  Interestingly enough...it had NOTHING to do with patients....just misbehaved docs!  Wink wink!

Anyway, I've got some photos to share....

MY BIRTHDAY GIRL!

Yes, they're playing Hungry Hungry Hippos!
We had a FUN simple evening at home celebrating Bel's Birthday!
She was so happy!

And last night after work, the kids and I put up the tree....
they get so excited...they've been asking me FOR DAYS....
but I've been so exhausted at work...so after my last work day,
I took a nap and then we put up the decorations!

Lately I've been letting Bel take some pictures so I could be in the photos for a change.
Dancing to some Christmas music....Harry Connick, Jr.....sigh...

Silly kids...

Why she took this, I don't know..but I got a laugh this morning as I was looking through the pictures!

Now I'm going to dig out my work out DVDs.......is there a butt slimming yoga video out there????

Mo

This is the second challenge for the month....hurry and make something
and maybe you'll win!

We scrapped about our Proudest Moment.

One of my proudest moments was when my daughter made a speech in Kindergarten.
The children modeled their speeches after Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech.
It was so adorable to see all these little babies speaking in front of a whole room of parents!
Awwwww......
I'm sure there will be many more moments like these....
but this one I'll remember forever because it was one of the first, having my eldest child in gradeschool.

My girl makes me proud every day!

This was her lil speech:

"I have a dream, like Martin Luther King Jr.
I have a dream that all girls can have cats.
I have a dream that I can have a lotS of friends.
I have a dream that I can be smart.
I have a dream today!"

vaca shoes!

I know!  I haven't shared a scrappy creations in a LONG WHILE!  I was truly in withdrawals while on vaca!  I missed creating so much!!  I slammed out 2 layouts on Wednesday after resting up the rest of Tuesday when I got in from my flight.....you will see the other creation SOON!

This layout was inspired by a challenge over at These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things!  They are having TONS (you will not believe....) of prizes so you GOTTA play!  The challenge topic is "These are a few of my favorite SHOES!"

Now, I've got hundreds of photos after my Hawaii trip to share!
I've said before, I'm a shoe FREAK!

It really sucked having to pick only SOME shoes to pack.  This was my FAVE pair while on vacation.  My sister Krystal gave them to me for Mother's Day.  These sandals were sooooo cute!

I used my Pink Ninja Addicts Kit called Three Little Birds.  I LOVE that glittery cardstock from American Crafts.  I think I'd been hoarding this one but realized, if I don't use all this goodnes, then what do I buy it for right?  Sigh.

The sparkly blue went well with the Hawaii photo at the beach!
Oh man, it's sooooo much fun using those PN kits!  Aaaaah!

I was also inspired by the color palette over at Candy Shoppe Designs for this one!  BTW, it's headed up by my Ninja Sister Lynnette!

FUN!  What a nice pairing of challenges...it worked out so well!  You really should check it out, I really wouldn't normally think to use these colors together.  So RAZZLE DAZZLE it up!

The sponsor is Color Me Miki!

And you could win THIS June kit called "Good Times" from them!

Wanna learn more?  Visit CSD HERE.

Play with the lovely talented ladies at CSD!  Um, their creations for this challenge are so slammin! You have till June 7th to link up so DO IT NOW!

Oh, so I'm still editing my hundreds of photos!  Here's a couple of some of my Hawaii familia over there!

My kids met my cousin's kids for the first time....so sweet!  They were fast friends!  Girls are TOO CUTE!  Gabe was jealous because these two girls were taking all his sisters attention away from him.

This cutie patootie is my doggy nephew Buddy...he he...he's so cute!  It's my Uncles dog.  We wanted to bring him to Washington with us, but Uncle wasn't having it!

Well, until next time! I hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Mo

what do you think?

Here's the journaling:

"These beautiful babies make me smile and laugh everyday!  How lucky am I to share this life with them!  Here we are snapping photos at Martha Lake."

I took some k i memories lace cardstock and used it as a mask.
Loving all the green!

There's still time!  You have till March 31st to create and link up!  The sponsor is Wild Olive Kids!  CUTE STUFF!  So, head on over, become a follower and play!  You can even submit more that one entry!
