Too C(You)te Onions and Calendars!

I thought I'd share about two classes I'm currently taking at The Art Studio.  Virginia's Onion envelope class is FABULOUS!  If you're looking for a fun quick class to take in a day, this is it!  It's like a non-traditional mini album.  You'll have to check it out and read the description HERE!

And yall know I'm into digi but for those of you hesitant on jumping in because of the cost of the program, you really should check out Paint Shop Pro X5 (from Corel).  It's quite affordable.  Cassel's class is a great introduction to digi!  You'll have downloadable calendars, fonts, letters/alphas, and awesome PDFs to help you along.  Cassel is also quick to respond by e-mail for any questions as are all the instructors at The Art Studio!  For more info, go HERE!

Speaking of digi!  I've got a couple scrapbook pages to share.  These digital scrapbook pages were published in the April issue of Scrapbook News and Review.

C(you)te

Digital scrapooking allows you to do lots of fun things you can't easily achieve with traditional scrapbooking.  That's why I love this layout of my cute niece.

In this layout the idea was to use lots of blue.  I threw in some yellow to balance it out a bit.  We played around with stick mustaches and frames at a family party.  I had to capture some of the fun!

And documenting day-to-day activities is always fun.  I don't think I set out to document this day, I just made it a point to remember to snap a few photos.  Periodically I do this and come up with some day-in-the-life type of layouts that are priceless.

I hope you're having a faboo day!  As always, thanks for stopping by!

Mo

I Love New

I love new babies...this is my cousin's baby Izayah.  Such a handsome boy :)

This digital page was published in Scrapbook News and Review Magazine's February 2013 issue.  (For digital credits, just click on the image.)

I Love You

I love how I can do a digital page without having to do all the stitching!  I find stitching so labor-intensive that I don't tend to bring it into my traditional scrappy projects.  But when it comes to digital pages, you bet I include lots of stitches to embellish my layout.

Okay, so I took some time today to take Donna Salazar's new class at The Art Studio for Scrapbook News and Review!  I loved it!  I've been meaning to tackle a canvas and with my beginning Mixed Media skills, it seemed overwhelming.  But after taking the class, I feel like have direction and she makes it look so easy.  It is an uncomplicated approach to building a canvas.

I'm very excited to get started!  I'll be sure to share my work of art with you all!

I've also been hard at work filming and editing short fun videos to share on my YouTube channel.  My newest video is set to music for those people interested in viewing the creation of a scrappy project without the talking.  I noticed a lot of my videos with high view counts were those videos so I decided to do a series called Scrapping to Music.  The first video is geared toward beginners and how I approach designing my scrapbook pages.

I hope you likey!  Give me some love by liking the video and/or leaving a comment and maybe even sharing it!

Much Love,
Mo

Come on! Get Your Freak On!

Photobucket

Okay! Ready for some enabling? I'm the gal for you! I have had the pleasure of finding an awesome site which I've been lurking! You know when you meet someone and you just click? THAT is what it was like for me and this forum! He he....you think I'm joking....I'm serious.

Whenever I discover a new place to play, I've GOT to be drawn in pretty immediately! I don't know what it is about this place but I love it! It's called SCRAP FREAK. The forum is sooooo welcoming, you will not believe how quickly you'll get a "hello" or "welcome".

The prices are very competitive and they carry lots of different manufacturers! AND THEY'RE HAVING A SUMMER SALE! Yep, everything is normally already 10% off and right now till June 28th you get an ADDITIONAL 25% off EVERYTHING...including Clearance items...some of which are marked WAY DOWN! Lemme just toss a name out.....COSMO CRICKET! Yes...CLEARANCD....YES....EXTRA 25% off of THAT price! Um....yeah! I think from the time I got the news...an hour later I had made a purchase and I'm soooo excited to get my goodies! I'm not sure how shipping works but I think I only paid $5!

Wooohooo! With the stress I've been going through at work....this sure makes me feel better!

Okay this post will not be without some eye candy.......I made a layout for their GDT and it's not my "usual" color choices! I got to use some of my Sassafras papers! He he.

I decided to document some of Gabe's favorite things. Although this photo was of him at 7 months of age, the favorites I listed are current as of age 2 1/2 years old:
Food: fruits and vegetables (I know....weird...you give him a plate of food and he PICKS OUT the veggies and leaves the rest....he's learned the word PROTEIN! You need to eat more PROTEIN...so I'm giving him some soy milk and he seems to love it!)
Drink: apple juice (Although to him everything is "appo jooos"....but when you put a cup of OJ and Apple Juice next to each other...he always goes for the apple juice.)
Cartoon: Dora the Explorer (NOT to be confused with DIEGO.....oh no...don't you DARE try to fake him out with Diego cuz he's NOT HAVIN' IT!)
Activity: singing and drawing (Which includes drawing on walls and furniture! I don't know how he finds these pens!)

Here's all the other GDT entries for June at Scrap Freak. Everyone had some great layouts/projects!

Oh! And chickety check this out! I got this link from one of the blogs I stalk! Do you like pizza? How bout cookies?.....hmmmmm......CLICK HERE. All I can say is YUMMMMMMM!
