License to Kiss

Remember how I was talking ON THIS POST about bummin' that I didn't have tickets to see the new Teatro Zinzanni show for Valentine's Day?  Well, a couple days after my blog post, I was contacted by the box office who had some seats open up to the sold out show!  I scooped those tickets up quick...well, Hubbs did cuz I was on a ski trip!  I was ecstatic!

So, Tim, if you happen to read this, Thank You soooooo very much!  It really made our Valentine's Day extra special to go to the show!  We both enjoyed it tremendously...especially the "Vertical Tango" (that's our favorite part).  Thanks you thank you thank you!!!!!!

Lemme tell y'all it was amazing!  The food was yummy, the cast was so talented, and the people we met there were fun and spirited!  They also have another Teatro Zinzanni in San Francisco!  Well, I will just have to see if I can fit that in to my trip to California later this year!

The show is called "License to Kiss" and it goes till April here in Seattle.  Then, they change the show.  I will soooo have to see the new one!  My parents would enjoy it, I just know it!  Maybe we'll go for our Anniversary (which is around the same time as my parents').  There is also a brunch show on Sundays which I really wanna catch!

So here's the photo we took.

Gee, am I THAT much shorter than Hubby?  Man, I'm wearing heels too!
And here I am taking photos to remember my fun hair and make-up!  Hah hah!

Once again I did some doodling on my face.  And added some bling!  This nice man and his date complimented me on the bling...and asked where I got it.  And I fessed up and said it was scrapbooking gems!!!  LOL!  Yes, it worked!  It stayed all night but I was very careful not to touch it.  I think that if I had some eyelash adhesive or any skin adhesive it would have been way more secure.  I even contemplated on using some glue dots on my face!

Thank you to Victoria's Secret for these wonderful "dinners"!  (he he)  The last time I had real dinners, I just had Gabe...and then...they REALLY were dinners (as well as breakfast, snack and lunch)!!!!!!!  CLICK HERE for the DL on the "dinners" term revived by Beth Perry and her Mom!  Plus you can see the cool mini she made!

I LOVE playing with make-up.  Maybe that's why I enjoy Halloween.  I can count on my fingers the amount of times I HAVE NOT had a costume on Halloween!  Anyway, I got this idea from this wonderful You Tube channel BY Kandee Johnson.  She is so sweet and inspiring and FUN!  This look was inspired by Rihanna.

Oh!  I also learned how to do that masky looking doodling on my face from her channel.  Peep it HERE!  Now that video has inspired some scrapping technique which I'll share on another post!  It's amazing where you can draw inspiration from!

Sorry if this is a long post, I just have so much to share!  I scrapped the photo of us using the prompt over at Scrap That Poetry since the current poem is another love poem in honor of Valentine's Day!  PERFECT!  The poem is called "Freedom and Love" by Thomas Campbell.

Here's the part which inspired me:
Love's a fire that needs renewal
Of fresh beauty for its fuel:
Love's wing moults when caged and captured,
Only free, he soars enraptured.
Can you keep the bee from ranging
Or the ringdove's neck from changing?
No! nor fetter'd Love from dying
In the knot there's no untying.

So here we are working on renewing our love.  I'd like to fall in love with my husband again...and again...and again...

AND!  This is also my newest favorite memory and I DON'T want to forget it so I scrapped it REAL FAST!  And also, I would be able to submit it for the TAAFOMFT prompt, Favorite Memories.  Heh heh!

I used some goodies from Pink Paislee which I purchased from Scrap Freak.  I've said it before, the forum is soooo amazing and inspiring!  Those ladies work so hard to give us good ideas and challenges FOR FREE.  Thrifty Thursdays are a good thing to check out.  The last one I shopped, I got Maya Road Mists for 30% off!  In April, they will debut embellishment kits which I am soooo excited for!  I don't know about you, but I buy kits mostly for the embellishments rather than the papers!  So, this should work quite nicely for me!  The store inventory is always 10% off  and shipping free when you purchase $60.  I think they will be getting rid of SOME of the inventory, so you should scope out the clearance items from 50-80% off I believe!  DO THE MATH...good prices!

Phew, I think I'm done!  On to more scrapping!  Thanks for visiting!  I hope to make my blog visiting rounds today and tomorrow!!!!

Hugs,
Mo

all about mo....well....almost

As I was contemplating my page about my personality, I suddenly felt the urge to use the Sketchy Thursdays sketch!  I loved the circles and realized I could put the journaling in them.  I balanced the busy papers with the simple design and I was happy with the way this turned out.  And...okay...so my hot pink was sooooo dang hot....it's red! LOL!

You might be able to tell, that I am not satisfied with simplicity.  I love seeing it in other layouts, but I cannot seem to make it ooze out of my work! Though, the sketch employed lots of white space, I COULD NOT leave it wasted...without expression!  My hands and eyes wouldn't let me!  Weird huh?  My personality comes out in my work....most of the time....unless I'm feeling mysterious....

You might not have noticed this, but though I blog and blog and "talk" and "talk"...the expression is non-verbal.  In person, I'm more middle-of-the road when it comes to my presence.  I'm neither too chatty or too quiet...it all brews inside...THAT'S where I have A LOT to say and it surfaces through art...if it surfaces at all.

I'm really enjoying these "Me" pages I've been working on!  I've got two more I created in the last two days!  You'll see em....

Oh, this Sketchy Thursdays sketch just happens to be for the Guest DT spot for March.....just going with the flow.  I felt...so I acted!  I'm SUCH A PISCES!

Here's what I've got in the journaling circles!  Again, LOVE the sketch!!!  I've got some negatives as well as positives in the mix here...

  • living in the here and now
  • sensing
  • feeling
  • impulsive
  • trusts gut feelings
  • risk-taker
  • somewhat haphazard
  • NOT a planner or preparer
  • easily adapts to surroundings
  • I prefer to feel the pulse of life by touch, in the muscles, in the eyes, in the ears on the tongue...
  • open to new experiences
  • hates to be confined
  • sometimes charming and ingratiating, sometimes aloof and detached
  • neither particularly social or reserved
  • escapist
  • idealistic
  • secretive
  • vague
  • weak-willed
  • easily led
  • communicates through action rather than words
  • tend to consider the feelings of others
  • seized by the act of artistic composition, caught up in a whirlwind
  • daydreamer
  • calm, even in tense situations (usually...unless you PISS ME OFF!)
  • imaginative and sensitive
  • compassionate and kind
  • gentle
  • go with the flow
I'm mostly cheery when you see me.  But ask me a direct question like "How's the day going?" and I can't help but say what I feel despite making things seem more congruent to my actions...which is weird to people.  I think it's just that I'm positive and cheery for the most part....even on a real sucky kind of day.  Make sense?

Anyway, I can chat all day so I'll stop here.  I'm now in the mood to do a layout more related to my astrological sign.  Hmmmmmm.....

Anything exciting going on this week for you?

Hugs,
Mo

Game Over!

OF COURSE, I had to play with the Sketchy Thursdays 2/18/10 Sketch!  You should play along if you haven't yet!  I dunno what the prize is this week...I hardly ever do.  It's just too much fun to play with the sketches!

I also, for the first time, played over at Candy Shoppe Designs for this one and it's called the "Recipe for Love" Challenge!  Uh....fun fun FUN!  I love scrap recipes too!  Dunno what the prize is there either...if there is one....

Remember these Gabe photos?
I loved that I cut the photos out with my circle cutter...something I HARDLY ever utilize!

I've done some Etsy shopping!!!!  See that super-dee-duper cute pink heart with the lace impression?  Gorgeousness!  It was created by Beautiful Jessica/Euphoria and I bought it from her TOO CUTE Etsy Shop called Random Shenanigans!  I'll show you the rest of the goodies at the end of this post!

I LOVE the title on this one!  Ha ha!  GAME OVER!  I like to say that phrase or "Knocked Out!" when I turn around and "The Boy" is sleeping.  It's soooo cute!

The journaling reads "i LOVE my Gabriel, don't get me wrong...but some days, i like him better like this!"

Need I say more?

Look at that adorable Kool Aid mustache!  It's so cute cuz his lips poke out just a little when he sleeps.
He's got such a cute "sleeping face"...mine....NOT SO CUTE...sometimes my eyes are half open!!!  LOL!  Scary!  I bet you didn't know that! (This is an embarassing secret I don't really tell...FEEL PRIVILEGED!)

(For a supply list for this layout, check MY GALLERY.)

Okay!  Here are the Random Shenanigans!......

I can't wait to play with these babies!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE frogs....not real ones...those GROSS ME OUT!  Kinda like, I like real bananas...but not the candy bananas...oh, that's not really the same...and kinda dirty if you have a dirty mind.....NEVER MIND! (Okay, I'm leaving this stupid sentence in here cuz it's dang funny.)

sigh...on to more Random Shenanigans...look at these stars!!!  Uh--dore--uh--ble!!!

And I can't bear to use these...but they're sooo cool!  I think I'll use one for a mini book...hmmmm!

I've got more goodies in the mail from a couple Etsy folk!  I will share as they come in!  I can't wait to create with the embellishments that are on their way to me.....you'll see.....

Fun huh?  Okay, I've got a TON of things to share so I better get going on my post preparations!  What are you up to this week?

Mo

Enjoy Time Together Now

I've been a scrapping crazy woman!  Last week I took part in the S.W.A.K. Crop at Simply Obsessed and slammed out 7 creations!  Fun!  This was one of them.  I used my gorgeous December 2009 Kit from SO!  It's mostly Collage Press goodies!

But I also wanted to take part in the xoxOGirls challenge as well...my first time playing along.  You are to scraplift one or more layouts.  Just let them know who you lifted and that's your entry.  I think you get more chances to win the more people you scraplift.  Cool huh?

I lifed THIS ONE, by Karen Watson.  Such a great design!

Oh!  The sponsor is Random Shenanigans!  Fun!

Once again here are the Ugly Sisters.  I LOVE THIS PICTURE!

We do enjoy the time we have together, especially now that Emmy lives in Encinitas (CA).  I hope to visit this summer or fall again!  If I do, I hope to hook up with scrap friends near there!!!  Sarah D., I think you're North but I know one day I JUST HAVE TO MEET YOU!  And I know lots of my Pink Ninja's are Cali Girls!!!

If you live in Cali, tell me if you're near Encinitas, will ya?  If I plan now, I may just be able to visit y'all!

journaling: "Ugly Sister Picture 2009.  Since Christmas '08,

we seem to be continuing the tradition.  I love my sisters...even when they're ugly!"

(For supply list CLICK HERE.)

So, don't forget to let me know if you're near Encinitas or San Diego!  My dream would be to meet as many of you beautiful people as I can!!!  I love you all!!!  Thanks for visiting!!!

14 Things I {heart} About You

Once again, I HAD to play with a Sketchy Thursdays Sketch, this one is the 2/11 sketch!  Loving this one!  I broke open my Pink Ninja Addicts Kit called Mommy's Little Monster!  They also have a Pink Ninja Addicts Blog showing lots of projects they've used with the Pink Ninja Addicts Kit.  Check out the Ninja Masters (Ally and Nely) and the Ninja Stars (Gloria and Carrie) in action!

I've got a 5 day stretch off again and I can't WAIT to play in my scrap room!

I was also inspired by the S.W.A.K. crop that was going on at Simply Obsessed last week.  One was to scrap "14 Things I Love About You" (14, in honor of Valentine's Day).  I was able to complete 7 challenges, so was very pleased!

Gabe is such a character.  I can't believe how opinionated and charming this kid is at 3.  Though it may be a difficult age, it's sure an interesting one.  He's got opinions about his clothing.  He thinks hats look "silly" (pronounced SEE-lee...especially the ones with the ear flaps which are my FAVORITE)...but unfortunately for him, I MAKE HIM WEAR THEM cuz he looks so darn cute in them!  Bad, I know!  AND he's a definite shoe freak....AT THREE!

Recently I decided to interview him, just to see if he could answer questions about himself (and so I could scrap the answers).  I even had a pen and paper in hand to jot them down!  He had answers to all my questions and he didn't have to think of them.

1) What's your favorite color?
Gween

2) What's your favorite toy?
Fi-yo Twuck (Fire Truck) and Police Man, choo choo chain and bubble wrap
(yes, he LOVES to play with bubble wrap...snap snap snapping away!)

3) What's your favorite food?
Scooby-Doo Candy (fruit snacks), orange, dum-dums

4) What's your favorite shoes?
Nike Shoes

5) What's your favorite stuffed animal?
Doggie (aka Puppy...this beat up ol stuffed dog he drags around).

6) What's your favorite cartoon?
Caillou and Noddy

I scrapped this picture because it cracks me up!  It's a little blurry which really irritates me, but at least we have it!  I love how he and Barney look so similar in it!  My sister Krystal pointed it out one day and I was rollin!!!!

And I remember sending him to my MIL's house and asked her to cut his hair...and he came back looking like "Lloyd" from Dumb and Dumber (remember Jim Carey's hair?)!  I was laughing so hard!  We called him Lloyd for awhile.....we're so baaaaaad!

There's still time to link up today to play along!
How was your weekend?  I had an AWESOME TIME and I'll have to scan my pic to share it!  I'll tell you all about my evening on Valentine's Day!

Hugs,
Mo

Nope, no snow here in Bothell, but we did go skiing a few weeks ago!  I am skiing again today and hopefully will have photos for you!!!  This photo share is extremely overdue!

When we went tubing....

I don't know what this fellow was crying about, but we had to take a photo!

Here's the GIRLS ONLY ski trip last weekend!  Me and my Aunts.

Mommy and Me!

I don't know how many dang times I fell, but this is the little baby hill I went down!

My Aunt J (the mommy of my cutie patootie cousins).  She's the one I'm going skiing again with today!

Wish me luck on the mountain!  No bruises, no injuries cuz I gotta look FOINE when I go out to din din tommorrow for Valentine's Day!

lil bitty mini book

Just a quick share today!  This is a mini book I sent to my sister for Valentine's Day!  It's a premade mini book and it's so cute!  It was so fun to make.  Here are some photos.  Sorry if it's dim.  The light here in Washington is nearly non-existent!

This album is perfect for wallet sized photos!  I used one of those k i memories kits that I got from JoAnn.  I made Krystal one as well but will have to share another day.  I figured I'd take better photos on a brighter day.

What are your plans for the weekend?  I'm going skiing AGAIN on Saturday!  I got a great deal so I spent $40 on two more days which includes lift tickets and the rental (plus lessons...it's been a long long time....heh heh)!  It should be pretty fun!  I'm heading up with my Aunt.  Have a wonderful weekend!!!  Thanks for visiting!!!

Hugs,
Mo
