Summer Rituals coming to an end...

All About Me asks you....What's your morning ritual?
Share yours and maybe win a prize from our awesome sponsor....

Check out their website HERE!

I am loooooving the Septempber Kit!!!!

Well, summer is coming to an end...and so will our fun morning rituals....sigh.
It's so nice to go out and about in the sunshine with my babies.

I've always been very spontaneous....I feel so constrained with schedules.  I love freedom.
Though our morning rituals can change day to day...for the most part, it consists of the elements I've outlined in my layout :)  I connected the events with corkscrew arrows...because I live life like that...hardly ever a straight line!!!!!

But I always wish I could just stick to a schedule...naturally I JUST CAN'T!

The Ninja's are at it again with prompt #45:

Yes....Mommies are great at giving love...but they often seem to be forgotten.
Luckily, I don't wallow too long in self pity....though I make room for it to cleanse my soul....

The fun thing I did with this layout was adding the journaling later!
I created it but could NOT come up with the journaling on the spot!
I knew I was running out of time to photograph it (in the sun which is hard to come by some days in Washington)...so I snapped a pic of the journaling blocks while still blank.

Then, as I was editing the pic in PSE, I added the text....and I LOVED it!
Hmmmm....I really need to play with digi, right?

So come play come plaaaaay!!!!

Or just drop by and say hello to my AAM and Ninja girls and oooh and aaaah over their
works of art!

Hugs,
Mo

This Day's GOTTA end SOMETIME!

*****OKAY, I FIXED IT!  YOU CAN LEAVE COMMENTS NOW!  I ACCIDENTALLY SET THE POST TO "DO NOT ALLOW COMMENTS"...HE HE!  THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO VISITED...AND LOTSA LOVE TO MY GIRLS WHO COMMENTED ON THE OTHER POST FOR THIS POST....YOU GUYS ARE SO CUTE!!!*****

Yay!  The second prompt is up today at The Pink Ninja's Challenge Blog!
I'm really loving these prompts.....creating my layouts has been soooooo FUN!

Ninja Christina came up with this awesome prompt!
prompt:  PERSONAL MOTTO
~ use stamps
~ pink twist,,, transparencies

The idea is to interpret the prompt how you like and "pink twist" means that element should be pink!

I CANNOT get away from this turquoise, pink, black & white combo....maybe that's why I've ALWAYS loved the Pink Ninja's.....heee heee!
I used my Pink Ninja Addicts kit called "Don't Get It Twisted"!
Love looooove LOVE the KITS!

I used an old photo of me posing with this new watch my Mommy gave me on my birthday...heh heh....it doesn't quite make sense....(if I want a day to end...why am I cheesing up a storm with a watch????)!

Basically, all I mean to say is that even though I am WANTING an awful work day to end....I still try to smile and work through it with positivity....MOST DAYS.
Don't get me wrong....I can't possibly be HAPPY ALL THE TIME....just ask people at work....
They've discovered that when I DON'T GET FED....it isn't pretty!

I loved the ponchello (that plasticy netting type stuff) and all the fibers in the kit.  And to showcase all the nummyness...I just weaved the fibers in and out of the netting to create this piece that I then hot glued to the layout!

I love those glittery alphas!  BLING a bling BLANG!

If you wanna check out a supply list it's HERE.

So head on over to the blog to see what the rest of the DT created.....
my Ninja Ladies are a talented bunch...
YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Ninja Mo

SPCC: Forever You and Me!

Aaaaaah! Lovin' the teal-y, turquoisey color in the SPCC 7 this week! SPCC stands for Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combos and it's a new challenge blog! Yay Sam! I love these colors and have never thought about putting them all together (Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Summer Sun) CLICK HERE to see the SPCC 7 colors and try them out!

I found this old wedding photo that would work with the challenge colors. The journaling reads:

This is the day it all started! The day my life changed forever.
It was exciting, happy, sad, terrifying, exhausting, surreal,
stressful, playful, joyous.......and perfect!
This is the day my family began!

I used some of my die cut vintage paper flowers! These are so fun to play with!

To make this flower, I took a drop of my Bermuda Bay re-inker and mixed it with a little water and lightly painted it on the flower. When dry, I then took a Versamark pad and pressed it onto the flower, making sure to cover the whole thing. Next, I sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds on the flower and used a heating gun to set the glitter! Like I've said before, you HAVE to see this stuff in person to REALLY appreciate the DAZZLING of the diamonds! Before you glue down your flowers, take a pen or pencil and use it to curl the ends of the petals to give them some dimension!

To finish off the flower, I just added some Prima flowers for color and a cute white button! And there you have a fun flower for super dee duper CHEAP!

On this project I also used some rub-ons in Old Olive by Stampin' Up! and some of the NEW ribbon in the yummy color Bermuda Bay! The die cut sticker I used was from an old retired Simply Scrappin' Kit (Stampin' Up!) which says "Forever you and me" for the title. The kit also had this cool die cut frame which I placed BEHIND my matted photo!

For some added interest, I added this vintage book page which came in my Vintage Plum April Kit and some Peacock tulle from my VP May Kit! I used a distressing tool on the edges of my photo, the photo mat, and my 12 x 12 base page.

Like the Stampin' Up! goodies? WANT SOME? For the month of July, I've got a special! Purchase $25 from ME at my Stampin' Up! website:

Wanted.....Dead or Alive!

I'm so glad you could join the SNR Card Universe Blog Hop! If you came from (http://www.capturingamomentintime.com/) you are on the right track! If you didn't you may want to hop to (the SNR Card Universe blog hop order: http://snrcardiverse.ning.com/profiles/blogs/welcome-to-our-hop
and start at the beginning).

If link above doesn't work, CLICK HERE for a separate post on my blog which lists the Blog Hop order!

First, I want to wish everyone a Happy Fourth of July!!!!! If you don't celebrate the holiday, then HAPPY DAY and enjoy the fun blog hopping! I'd also like to give a warm thank you to all of our Armed Forces as well as their families who have made MANY sacrifices.

And a special thank you to my father who is featured in the layout below who served over 25 years in the US Navy! Thanks Dad, although there were many tears shed each time you deployed, I'm very thankful for your sacrifices and wouldn't change a thing. I Love You!!!!

My layout BELOW was inspired by the sketch above created by my friend Diana. She has this totally cute blog called Design by Diana and posts a sketch challenge every Thursday on "Sketchy Thursdays"! This layout was actually my submission for her last sketch challenge.

Planning on scrapping some July 4th photos????? Well, this sketch is PERFECT! AND there's actually a NEW one up today! That girl can SKETCH! She also gives a cool prize to the weekly winner! So, come and play with her and maybe you'll win!

Thanks Diana for the inspiration for this page!

Now lemme talk about my layout!

This photo of my son Gabe and my father was taken on my son's Cowboy-themed birthday party. The colors of red, white and blue were perfect to use on this layout. The item on the top left corner is actually one of the paper napkins from the party which I treated with a special spray in order to use on my layout. I'm so glad I kept a few of those napkins! I had this cool red plaid packing tape and used it on the large star. The other stars were heat embossed and the little blue star was stamped. I also stamped the title "Wanted" using the stamp set below:
Image above is copyright Stampin' Up! "Wanted" stamp set. CLICK HERE for details on this set.

Gabe's first birthday in 2007 actually fell on Thanksgiving! So, we threw a huge par-tay! We had wanted posters posted all around the house and everybody wore cowboy outfits! It was the best Thanksgiving ever!

To create the title, I stamped the word Wanted in VersaMark ink, then used a sponge dauber in red chalk and rubbed it lightly on the first half of the word. Then you take a separate sponge dauber and use blue chalk to color in the second half of the word. (Tip: dedicate each dauber to a different color). Stampin' Up! makes an awesome set of chalks called Stampin' Pastels and the quality of these chalks are exceptional! CLICK HERE TO BE DIRECTED TO MY STAMPIN' UP! WEBSITE.

Since it's July, Stampin' Up! has a new catalog that just came out! DOWNLOAD CATALOGS FROM MY STAMPIN' UP WEBSITE HERE.

Happy Birthday, Human.

I got my shipment of Stampin' Up! goodies in the mail the other day! Wow! As a Demonstrator, we get to order sets BEFORE THEY ARE ACTUALLY OUT! I also got a couple new hostess sets in the new catalog! The new catty comes out July 1st! Oh, it's sooooooo nummy! And the NEW In Colors are so lusciously bright!

Well, I've been meaning to head over to my friend, Samatha's NEW CHALLENGE BLOG: SP Color Combos! It's called SP Color Combos and every week she has a challenge where you will use certain colors in your projects. Anyway, I saw this weeks colors and...boy did I have a time thinkin' up a design! I don't usually use these colors together...definitely a challenge for me! But, it worked out and most importantly I had fun!

I got to use my NEW set Lots of Bots! This set is too cuteriffic! While I was creating, I kept on saying "Waaaaaaleeeeeee" the whole time! It's so catchy (from the movie Wall-E)! I do a lot of sound effects when I stamp....but that coulda been the Sangria talkin'!

I sooooo tried to make this a boy card, but alas....I love my flower clusters much too much so they snuck in there! I like mixing it up...rough distressed edges, nuts and bolts, flowers and bling! Ha ha! WHAT A COMBO! I think it worked because of the color combo...I mean purple (kinda girly) with brown and green (in very boy shades)!

Hope you likey....HUMANS!

THE MOMOSTAMPER BLOGOVERSARY WINNER!

Remember these goodies?????? It's time to announce the winner!!!!!

Below I've copied the comments and numbered them. I gave a second number to each person who also did a blog post. I first went down and numbered them 1 thru 15 then back up the list to give a second number to those who did a blog post as well (for their second entry). I spaced the numbers out so you don't get 2 consecutive numbers (I honestly don't know if it even mattered.....anyone that knows the answer to that, please enlighten me...math and statistics were never my favorite subjects. Ugh!
Here are the numbers:
