I feel like creating.  Here's my inspiration.  Let's see if...or what happens!  Where do you get YOUR inspiration?

a poetic body

I have been inspired lately by a beautiful blog

that focuses on self, spirituality, motherhood, love and life.

Thanks, Jess for pointing me in this direction.

I have been peeking into the self-portraits that these amazing women have taken.

It's so inspiring, so honest, and so beautiful.

The series is called "Elements of Self".

This specific topic is: poetic bodies

where you photograph your favorite body parts.

I find it so very amazing that, in my thirties, I feel so much more sure of myself.

I know myself.  It's taken many years, and I'm sure I have much more to learn, but I've come so far.

I think it happens with time....and with that hormone surge you get in your thirties helps to add a sort of....glow.  I've grown to appreciate myself, my body, my talents, and accept my flaws.

Though motherhood has taken a toll on my body by stretching it in so many different ways and marking it up with flaws, I still see the beauty in it.

It's amazing how, when you're young...you really don't realize how beautiful your body is.  If I knew then what I knew now....I wonder what kind of trouble I would have gotten into ;)

Thankfully, I've come to a point in my life where I feel beautiful, sexy, confident, and happy with who I am.

Of course, I have my insecurities.  But I focus on my positives.

Oh...no...you don't get to see it in focus.  I still don't feel secure enough to take a clear pic so you get to see this wonderfully blurred photograph!  With the help of picnik.com, I did some shading and dimming....

It's in the air....

Autumn is here....my favorite season.  Though, this year, I'm not ready to say goodbye to summer.  I'm still happy to welcome it's beauty....

Spreckels Sweets & Treats!

Last month, I took a MUCH NEEDED mommy only vacation to see my sister (yes....minus my 2 monsters and my hubby), Emmy in Encinitas, CA!!!!! It was a "sister trip" so I flew down (up?.....) with my other sister Krystal too! We had lots of sister fun!!!!!

I have tons more pics...so here is a batch of em!

One of the days we went to Hotel del Coronado and walked around. Here's a picture of the hotel I took....but you REALLY should click on the link I just gave to see how massive this hotel is!!!!

There were tons of shops...but one of my favorites is this lovely candy shop called Spreckels, Sweets & Treats! The ladies there were sooooo nice and the shop was just a feast for the eyes! My photos below just do not do it justice. For one, I'm still learning some photography skills, and two....my camera has been dropped one too many times!

It was so spring looking all around! Awesome candies in wonderful packaging! So inspiring! I took a few photos of the super cute displays!

My mouth is just watering looking at these photos! Yummmmmmm!

I'm loving all these colors together! I'll have to use them as scrapbooking inspiration one of these days!

We got a kick out of this candy dispenser! I'm sure they sooooooo wanted to call this "Poops-A-Daisy!" but thought it wasn't appropriate!...but we get the hint!
